About J. J. DeBenedictis
J. J. DeBenedictis writes fantasy, science fiction and that weird hybrid of the two known as science fantasy. Her first novel,
Dark Heir (science fantasy), is currently on submission to publishers. Wish it luck! You can read a description and short excerpt of

J. J. DeBenedictis has Master's degree in physics from the University of British Columbia. For her thesis project, she measured the resistivity tensor of under-doped Yttrium Barium Copper Oxide (a high temperature superconductor.) She also blew up a snowman using liquid nitrogen, but that, sadly, did not make it into the thesis.
Ms. DeBenedictis is a visual artist and created all the artwork for this website. Her hobbies include rock climbing, drawing, reading, writing (of course), and trying not to kill orchids. She lives in Vancouver, Canada, with her husband.
